Another point worth pulling out from Piper Jaffray analyst Gene Munster’s recent research note about Apple, this one regarding AT&T’s iPhone-exclusivity deal: Munster doesn’t see it lasting much beyond this year.
iPhone sales are trending well in the September quarter and Apple has app developers and its rivals to thank for it. This according to Piper Jaffray analyst Gene Munster, who says those two groups are doing a great deal to reinforce Apple’s brand.
There’s not much of a business yet in Apple TV, as Apple’s leadership often notes. But there may be soon, with the market for connected TVs evolving as it has been. In a research note issued this morning, Piper Jaffray analyst Gene Munster says the time is right for Apple to release the next iteration of Apple TV and to begin work on a full-fledged Internet-connected television set.
Looks like Apple may have another hit on its hands with the 13-inch MacBook Pro. The company is reportedly having a hard time keeping the machine in stock as it heads into the back-to-school buying season. And for good reason: It’s a significant upgrade at a lower price. Starting at $1,199, it’s $100 less than the original aluminum MacBook it replaces.
Apple CEO Steve Jobs has officially returned to work after a six-month medical leave. “Steve Jobs is back to work,” Apple spokesman Steve Dowling told Digital Daily, confirming what many in Silicon Valley began to suspect last week after Jobs popped up in a company press release.

Moreover, downloads of Apple’s new iPhone 3.0 software, launched last Wednesday, have already reached six million.
