The Palm Pre is finally taking off in the Great White North. Canada’s Bell Mobility, which became the device’s exclusive Canadian carrier back in May, this morning announced a ship date and price for the Pre.
Well, at least the company announced something. Palm hasn’t yet announced a price for its forthcoming Pre handset. Nor has it provided an official release date. But today it did give those waiting with rapt anticipation for news of the device something to chew on: a new carrier. Bell Mobility has negotiated an exclusive on the Pre in Canada.

While the technology behind the Telephone is new, the design is reassuringly old-fashioned, reminiscent of a phrenologist’s horn or ear-candle in form. We found the experience far more comfortable than the one we had with the Telegraph.
