I’m Family Guy, and I’m a PC

Comments

  1. Making comedy out of complementing yourself is about as difficult as time travel.

IBM had a series of print ads featuring a dumb IT mid-level manager who’s dumb ideas always had to be rescued by an IBM alternative.

But the comedy of those ads was provided by the dumb guy, and his dumb ideas. The series was humorous, but hardly the sort of things with which to make prime-time TV.

The question is at who’s “expense” will these jokes be made. Will the Family Guy cast enter a bizzaro world where Windows computers are secure, easy to use and reliable while everyone else’s crash constantly and get viruses?

Seth is a comic genius, but something tells me his reputation is going to further suffer over this (the You-Tube shorts are for the most part boring.) Seems like the Sienfeld experience should have warned people off about getting involved with such things. I hope the chunk of change he made was worth it.
