		<description>Apple has a long history of initially offering a third-party software solution as a free add-on with their hardware, then eventually re-creating it in-house, and finally cutting out the third-party add-on, _and_ (to add insult to injury) offering it for free with the OS, essentially killing the market for the original vendor.  Witness (e.g.) StuffIt.</description>
