While I completely agree with the conclusion (here’s a recent post on how an Apple Tablet can re-boot the book market: http://bit.ly/zOoEu), I have got to say that Abramsky’s track record is closer to the broken clock – right twice a day – than pristine time piece.

He seems to piggyback on whatever conventional wisdom is for the moment and overlays numbers that make it (seem) so.

When CW was that Apple had premium products targeted at consumers in an economy where consumers presumably would not spend or default to cheap, he slammed them, failing to analyze why Apple could rise above in a market where wheat quickly gets separated from chaff.

Hence, he’s not exactly the barometer I would take my measures from.

I think I read somewhere that the people surveyed had recently bought a Mac. That would spin the results a little.

Abramsky has totally changed his outlook regarding Apple.
