There is already a direct link to Amazon on the Pre. It appears Palm is almost baiting Apple so that something can be worked out/announced with Amazon. Perhaps a media sync program from Amazon that plays friendly with all/most devices with no DRM worries. With more people moving to smartphones, they will be looking for easy media sync and if Apple willnt open up for phones outside the iPhone...somebody else will.

Moreover, tech savy consumers will be less inclined to update iTunes moving forward if their device syncs with existing version. Will be difficult for Apple to improve iTunes if people are refusing the &quot;bloated&quot; updates.</description>
