This whole thing is just so much ca-ca.

On my four computers, two Vista, two WinXP, I have IE8, FF3, SM1.1.16 and Safari. None of them cost me anything and I switch around just to be not bored. FF3 is my default.

Also, if Microsoft ships 7 without a browser, it does not mean that anyone will buy a computer without a browser. The manufacturer, Dell. HP, Sony, whoever, will simply load at least one browser of the buyer’s choice.

Also, when Microsoft satisfied the EU by shipping Windows without Windows Media Player, no one bought a machine so configured.

The view from the vally is the same as ever, who cares about being fair or just when the company is not a valley company.

MSFT does not have some death grip on browsers this is all about EU hacks making a name and getting funding, while protecting or least being seen to be protecting home grown companies.

You vally types are just so blinded by hate you fail to see the story.

The EU wants to be the world leader in enforcing competition policies. At the same time they have gathered massive funding by fining companies record amounts.
