What did people expect? AT&T is the worst wireless carrier in the USA! People are finally waking up and realizing that Apple completely brain washed stupid people into buying a PDA that wasn’t all that good to begin with!

That is what happens when you blindly follow trends! The company makes you think the iPhone and AT&T are the greatest thing ever! Then you wake up and your wallet is empty!

Dah?! You don’t get money back from being stupid!! Next time follow your own trend, don’t let some company own you!!

[...] Familiar complaints to some iPhone 3G owners, or anyone who’s spent any time in Apple’s support forums lately. Indeed, Apple recently acknowledged the device’s reception problems. That said, the company’s “Twice as fast. Half the price.” messaging does include the caveat “actual speeds vary by site conditions,” which would seem to absolve it of Smith’s charges of false advertising. And, beyond that, anyone dissapointed by the performance of their new iPhone 3G had 30 days to return the device without consequence. Which is not to say that iPhone 3G’s performance hasn’t been dissapointingly subpar or that it’s unreasonable to demand that Apple fix it. Just that Smith had recourse other than a suit that demands Apple pay unspecified damages in addition to repairing or replacing all defective iPhones.
My wife and I upgrade to the 3g on the same day. Mine has worked fine, but my wife's phone worked like the post you cite above. Since it was obvious that her's was defective when compared with mine, she took it to the "genius bar". They couldn't find a problem with it but they replaced it anyway.

Perhaps there's a high rate of manufacturing defects?
